About the opportunity

Family Day Care is an education and care service offering families affordable, personalised care within the educators own home environment. The Family Day Care Scheme will do an assessment of each residence and advise of any changes that may be required before care can begin. Educators may care for up to 7 children at any one time, with no more than 4 children under school age.

Family Day Care is a unique opportunity to develop your own educational programs based on the approved learning frameworks and the needs and ideas of individual children, while building long lasting bonds.

 

You will be supported by your approved service through regular home visits, training, meetings and workshops to support you in maintaining currency of skills and knowledge, and to deliver quality education and care to the children in your service.

About you

To be considered you will have:

• An approved Certificate III level training or currently actively working towards obtaining an approved Certificate III level training in early childhood education and care or higher

• Hold, or be willing to obtain a: Working with Children Check for the applicant and for all persons at the premises over 18 years

• Police Check (issued within 6 months)

• HLTDAID004 First Aid and HLTDAID001 CPR

• Public Liability Insurance

• Australian Business Number (ABN)

Children in Family Day Care have the advantages of learning and developing socially, educationally and emotionally within the security of a small group. They will participate in activities that have been planned to suit each child's individual needs, such as story-telling, singing, playing games, outdoor play and executions.
